Brent and I finished off our Sunday on a sweet note.
I was super excited to remember that I had frozen peaches on hand and that this would be the perfect time to try out the Medical Medium recipe for Peach Ginger Sorbet! This brings us to day 27 of my October Medical Medium Challenge.
Ingredients: Frozen peaches (unsweetened), Ginger, raw honey, squeeze of lemon
Peaches: Peaches are a wonderfully hydrating and mineral rich fruit that are easy to digest and rich in beta-carotene, vitamin C, iron, calcium, magnesium, zinc, and bioflavonoids. They have powerful anti-inflammatory properties and are especially beneficial for sinus issues, arthritis, high blood pressure, IBS, constipation, eczema, psoriasis, rosacea, acne, nervous system issues, migraines, eye sight issues, and strengthening the immune system. They are also very supportive for the body during pregnancy and a wonderful healing food for children as well.
Ginger: According to Medical Medium ” Ginger’s antispasmodic properties come from its more than 60 trace minerals, well over 30 amino acids (many of them undiscovered), and more than 500 enzymes and coenzymes all working together to calm reactivity. And as an antiviral, antibacterial, and anti-parasitic, ginger deserves all the accolades it gets for promoting a healthy immune system. Ginger is also ideal for stress assistance, DNA reconstruction, enhancement of your body’s production of B12, and so much more. It will be 100 years before research uncovers how much ginger truly holds. “
Raw Honey: Anti viral, anti fungal, antibacterial, promotes digestive health, boosts immunity, anti inflammatory, potent medicinal properties.
Lemons: Lemons are a powerful healing fruit containing anti septic, antibiotic and anti-cancer properties. They are rich in vitamin C and B complex minerals. They can help cleanse and detoxify your entire body! It’s a good idea to start your day with a tall glass of fresh lemon juice.
10 out of 10 – this hit the spot and was super delicious. I can see myself making this over and over again. Brent enjoyed it as well. And how cute!? Would be perfect for serving at a friend or family gathering.
